An estimate, not a forecast. TikTok pays through the Creator Rewards Programme on qualified views — original videos longer than one minute — so short clips and re-posted content earn nothing from it. Reported RPMs vary widely by country, niche and season, which is why the rates here are editable: replace them with your own figures from TikTok Studio for a real number. Brand-deal rates are a rough industry rule of thumb and depend far more on engagement and niche than on follower count. Eligibility rules and rates change — check TikTok's current terms before planning around any of this.

User Guide

1

Enter followers and monthly views

Both matter, because they drive different income streams — views drive Creator Rewards, followers drive what a brand will pay. Take the figures from your TikTok analytics.

2

Set the Creator Rewards RPM range

Defaults are $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. Rewards apply only to videos over one minute that meet the programme’s criteria, so not all of your views qualify.

3

Set your brand deal rate

The defaults of $20 to $50 per 1,000 followers per post reflect a common range, but this is a negotiation, not a formula. Strong engagement justifies more; a large but passive audience justifies less.

4

Enter how many deals you realistically land

The default is 2 a month. This input has more effect on the total than anything else on the page, and it is the one most often set optimistically.

5

Read the split, not just the total

The tool separates creator fund income from brand income. That split is the useful output — it shows which lever actually moves your earnings.

6

Check the eligibility note

Creator Rewards has follower, view and account requirements. The tool flags whether the figures you entered clear the usual thresholds.

About the TikTok Money Calculator

This tool estimates TikTok earnings from two separate sources: the Creator Rewards programme, which pays per qualified view, and brand partnerships, which are priced on audience. Keeping them apart is the point, because they behave nothing alike.

The two income streams

Creator Rewards pays a small amount per 1,000 qualified views on videos over one minute long. Typical reported rates fall between $0.40 and $1.00 per 1,000 views — an order of magnitude below YouTube long-form RPMs. At 500,000 monthly views that is roughly $200 to $500.

Brand partnerships are priced on followers and engagement, commonly quoted around $20 to $50 per 1,000 followers per post. At 50,000 followers that is $1,000 to $2,500 per post. Two posts a month puts brand income between $2,000 and $5,000 — roughly ten times the fund income from the same account.

That ratio is the single most useful thing this calculator shows. For almost every TikTok creator, the creator fund is not the business; sponsorship is. Chasing view count alone optimises the smaller number.

Why TikTok pays less per view than YouTube

TikTok Creator Rewards YouTube long-form
Payment model Share of a fixed pool Share of ad auction revenue
Typical per 1,000 views $0.40–$1.00 $0.50–$5.00
Minimum length Over one minute None for ads
Effect of more creators Dilutes everyone’s share No direct dilution

The structural difference matters. A fixed pool divided among more creators pays each of them less, regardless of how well any individual performs. Auction-based ad revenue does not work that way. This is why creator fund rates have generally trended down as platforms have grown.

What a brand actually pays for

Follower count sets the starting point, but the rate per thousand moves on other things: engagement rate, audience country, niche, whether usage rights are included, exclusivity, and whether the brand wants the video on their own channels too.

A 20,000-follower account with 8% engagement in a commercially valuable niche will often out-earn a 200,000-follower account with 0.5% engagement. If you have not measured yours, the Engagement Rate Calculator is the number brands ask for first.

Read this as a model, not a forecast

Every figure here comes from what you type. Creator Rewards rates change, vary by country and are not guaranteed; brand rates are negotiated individually and vary enormously. Nobody — including this tool — can tell you what you will earn.

What it can do is show you the shape: which stream dominates, how sensitive the total is to deal frequency, and what a realistic range looks like before you go into a negotiation with a number in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

Reported Creator Rewards rates commonly fall between $0.40 and $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, but this varies by country and changes over time. Only videos longer than one minute that meet the programme criteria qualify at all.

Why is TikTok fund income so much lower than YouTube?

Different models. Creator Rewards divides a fixed pool among participating creators, so more creators means less for each. YouTube pays a share of what advertisers bid in an auction, which does not dilute the same way.

Should I focus on the creator fund or brand deals?

Brand deals, for almost everyone. At 50,000 followers and 500,000 monthly views, sponsorship income typically runs around ten times fund income. The calculator separates the two precisely so you can see that.

What should I charge for a sponsored post?

Around $20 to $50 per 1,000 followers per post is a common starting range, but it is a negotiation. Strong engagement, a commercially valuable niche, usage rights and exclusivity all push it up; a large but passive audience pushes it down.

Can a small account earn more than a large one?

Yes, routinely. A 20,000-follower account with 8% engagement in a valuable niche often out-earns a 200,000-follower account with 0.5% engagement, because brands buy attention rather than follower counts.

Do all my views count towards Creator Rewards?

No. Only qualified views on videos longer than one minute count, and the account must meet the programme requirements. If most of your content is short, the fund estimate will be well above what you actually receive.

How accurate is this calculator?

It is a model built from the figures you enter, not a forecast. Rates change, vary by country and are never guaranteed. Its value is in showing which income stream dominates and how sensitive the total is to how often you land deals.

Does this connect to my TikTok account?

No. Nothing is linked, submitted or stored. You enter your own numbers from TikTok analytics and the arithmetic runs in your browser.
