Are the tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on AMTake Tools is 100% free to use, with no sign-up, no usage limits and no watermarks. “Free forever” is a core promise, not a limited trial. We keep the service running through unobtrusive advertising, which lets us offer the tools at no cost to you.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required. Simply open any tool and start using it immediately. We do not require registration, email verification or any personal information to use our tools.
Is it safe to use my files with your tools?
Yes. The majority of our tools process your files entirely within your web browser, meaning your documents and images never leave your device. For tools that require server-side processing (for example, some advanced PDF operations), files are transferred over an encrypted HTTPS connection and are automatically deleted shortly after processing. We never read, share or sell your files.
Do the tools work on mobile devices?
Absolutely. Every tool is designed mobile-first and works in any modern browser on smartphones, tablets and desktops. Some heavy processing tasks (such as video conversion) run faster on a desktop, but they remain fully functional on mobile.
Which browsers are supported?
Our tools work best on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. For advanced tools that use modern browser features (such as in-browser video conversion or AI background removal), we recommend a recent Chrome or Edge browser for the smoothest experience.
Why did a tool ask to download something on first use?
A few advanced tools — such as our video/audio converters and the AI background remover — download a processing engine or model to your browser the first time you use them. This lets the tool run entirely on your device without uploading your files. The download is cached, so it only happens once.
Is there a file size limit?
Because most tools run in your browser, practical limits depend on your device’s available memory rather than a server cap. Very large files may process slowly or, on low-memory devices, may not complete. For best results with large media files, use a desktop computer.
Do you store my calculations or data?
No. Calculator inputs and results are processed live in your browser and are not saved to our servers. When you close or refresh the page, the data is gone.
I found a bug or incorrect result. What should I do?
Please contact us with the tool name, the input you used, and what went wrong. We investigate every report and fix issues quickly. Note that calculator results are provided for informational purposes — see our Disclaimer.
Can you build a tool I need?
Very possibly. Many of our tools exist because a user asked for them. Send us your idea with a short description of what it should do, and we’ll consider it for a future release.
How do you make money if everything is free?
